Spray Foam

Spray applied polyurethane foam is the premium insulation product on the market today. Boasting the highest R-value per inch, ability to create both an air and moisture barrier, and its flexibility to fill and seal any difficult areas, have placed spray foam as an essential insulation product in both new and older residential and commercial applications. Spray foam virtually eliminates air leakage, lowers power bills, and increases the structural strength of the applied area. Five Star Insulation has professionally trained and certified applicators available to discuss and install a product that will create an energy efficient building that will last the course of time.

  • Lower utility bills
  • Highest R-value per inch
  • Increases building efficiency
  • Mold, mildew, and rodent resistant
  • Does not sag or deteriorate over time
  • Increases structural strength of building
  • No need for a vapour barrier*
Loose-Fill Fiberglass

Loose fill insulated attics have become the “go-to” for new construction, from single family dwellings to multi-unit apartment buildings. Loose fill fiberglass is a cost effective and efficient means of keeping any building comfortable in both warm and cold months. Creating a seamless blanket of insulation with a uniform R-value and no air gaps creates a much more efficient system than using fiberglass batts. Loose fill applications however are not limited to new construction. Fiberglass can be added to existing loose fill systems to increase the R- value, or on top of fiberglass batts to fill any air gaps and improve the overall effectiveness of your attic insulation.

  • Cost effective
  • Uniform coverage and R-value
  • No air gaps as opposed to fiberglass batt insulation

Loose-Fill Cellulose

Like fiberglass, cellulose insulation is a loose fill product that greatly out performs batt style insulation. Cellulose is an environmentally friendly product, being composed primarily of recycled paper content, that is treated with non toxic fire retardants. It also repels insects and rodents, does not promote mold or mildew growth, and has superior sound dampening properties. Cellulose can also be installed in new construction, or in retrofit situations to create a seamless insulation blanket, that creates a comfortable interior living space.

  • Superior sound dampening
  • Repels insects & rodents
  • Best R-value/sq. Inch of loose fill products
  • Cost effecive

Floor Systems

Floor systems are used to insulate between multi-level living spaces and to reduce sound transmission. A mesh layer is installed to the underside of the floor joists and loosefill; either fiberglass or cellulose is pumped into the joist cavity to achieve these desirable results. Floor systems are used in many applications, such as on garage ceilings, when a living space is above, between floors of apartment buildings, or low attic truss situations. A talk with one of our specialists can decide if this is the right system for your project.

Vacuum Services

Sometimes insulation needs to be removed for a host of reasons, being fire or water damage, removed to install new attic mounted equipment, or to start fresh with new insulation in an old home. Whatever it is, Five Star Insulation has the equipment and know-how to quickly and efficiently remove any old, damaged, or unwanted insulation. With the use of our vaccum machine, insulation is sucked from the space onto one of our trucks to be disposed of. And when it is time to install new insulation we are right there to do that as well.
